Disconsolate, By Brian37 (AKA Brian James Rational Poet on FB/META and @Brianrrs37 on Twitter/X)
The butterfly dances and darts
The wings of the monarch an art
The tingles on spine when the love starts
The pulse races, laces, graces our hearts
As seasons do flow, blending to next
The butterfly breaks out of it’s chrysalis
Aloft in our hopes our love stays in bliss
It all started with a passionate kiss
The winter has come the butterfly gone
Cruel is this time that has broken our bond
(end)
