Epilogue, By Brian 37 (AKA Brian James Rational Poet on FB/META and @Brianrrs37 on Twitter)
The pain
Of a lonely
Epilogue
Is the newness
Of raw
The memories
Of what was
The piercing
Stab wounds
Of rejection
Most certainly
Such a door
To be shut
A backdraft
To cause flashover
An aneurysm
The heart
Must fix
(end)
(EDIT)
I removed “It is” from the line originally “It is most certainly” , I think it flows better.

I liked and enjoyed this original piece, Brian. I see you’ve got your poetic flair back again. You feared you’d lost that ability not that long ago, but I can see it’s returned, and that’s good news. Hope you are well today and that Kelly and Anneplath are behaving themselves! I’m trying to work on a poem to give to my therapist when I have my last session in the New Year. I can see it taking me a while to get just right. My last session is on the 4th Jan., so I have plenty of time, really. Take care of yourself X

A little axle grease, WD-40, easy peasy. Thank you. You do what you got to do. Both my fur babies are doing fine, still mischief makers though.
