Big Cats, By Brian37 (AKA Brian James Rational Poet on FB/META and @brianrrs37 on Twitter)
Gunther Gebel-Williams
Wouldn’t want em
That big,
And I mean that BIG!
There is a Spooky Doctor
Who sends me pictures
And Kyoko
Does as well
But what the hell?
These are not cats
They’re not even
Lions
They are saber tooth tigers
They are Jurassic Park size
And you Asia, that picture
In the back yard
With the deer
Don’t hand me that lie
It’s not a cat,
Nice try
Survivor sang
About the eyes of
But I will have none of
This guff about size
They could
Eat my house whole
They could drink milk
That filled the Rose Bowl
Domestic?
Don’t hand me that
They need safari trackers
They are not house cats
The original Title
Was not “King Kong”
Fay was chased away
Up the Empire
It clawed it’s way
The State Building
It’s scratching post
They’re not small
So don’t you boast
I’d need whip and chair
You silly goose
Don’t you call them Puss and Boots.
(end)
A few people I know online, mentioned in this poem post pictures of their cats, and I really don’t want to hear it, they are not cats, they are GINOMROUS Saber tooth tigers. LOL.
