Garbage Can, By Brian37 (AKA Brian James Rational Poet on FB/META and @brianrrs37 on Twitter/X)
He thinks he can, sell that garbage can
An unlimited supply of hate and vilify
Offering himself up
As the marmalade messiah
Throw that greasy spray tan
In that Mar A Lago garbage can
Save diversity
For every child woman and man
Refuse to buy the peddling of fear
The idea that other humans are refuse
Extinguish his fuse, his filthy muse
The stench of his praising those who
Those who are authoritarians of iron fist
Everyone must insist the end of this twist
Twist of politics, the bastardization
Of democracy to be replaced with autocracy
The monster’s recycling bin
Is a road we’ve been
Been down that dark road before
We’ve seen the gas chamber’s gore
At the RNC National Convention
We saw the warning signs
“Mass deportation”
Fear exploitation
Pink triangles along with stars
David rounded up in cattle cars
Females are chattel for men to use
Stop justifying his verbal abuse
The garbage can is where he should be
It is as clear as day for all to see
History is warning us not to repeat
Of that bully we must defeat.
