Regrets, He Had A Few

Regrets, He Had A Few, By Brian37 (AKA Brian James Rational Poet on FB/META and @brianrrs37 on Twitter/X)

Regrets, he had a few
The biggest one
He confesses to

Is the deepest regret
In that holy book you
Buy into and have faith in

In Genesis where
The story begins
He couldn’t get his toys

His ant farm humans
To do what he wanted
Despite being all powerful

Oh this masterful man
Had a perfect plan
Dumped it all in the can

Because he can
Do what he wants to
Oh yes, it is true

Genesis 6:6-7 should be
Your biggest clue
That he never cared about you

He regrets making humans
When he never had to
But why, why the animal cruelty

On top of the genocide too?
I thought his plans were perfect
Free of any defect

This guy way way up in the sky
Brought the universe and earth
Into existence in the blink of an eye

But this barbaric authoritarian way
Is the way he chooses to make you die
If you choose not to love him back

The insecure bully goes on the attack
Carpet bombs everything
Even innocent animals as well

Is willing to burn you in hell
Oh what is that nasty morbid smell
Of an abuser who won’t let go?
