Stuck on the geocentric nonsense
Ignoring the science of Eratosthenes

Thought he brought astrophysicists
Too their knees by making a pathetic plea
That all the societies of antiquity

Like the Mayans and Egyptians
Said the earth was was the center
Of the solar system and the universe

So therefore the bible was true
And God was good, but here
Is what he never understood

They didn’t have the James Web back then
They didn’t understand axis spin
They didn’t understand that stars were suns

They didn’t know what a photon was
They didn’t know the speed of light
They didn’t know what we know today

So of course bad guesses
Would make their way
Out of ignorance in early days

So today on Facebook I saw a short where this idiot flat earther said that there were societies in antiquity and in in South America that all had their depictions of a earth centered solar system and universe.

Not all, the Greeks knew the earth was a globe at least and not flat. But regardless, of course most humans world wide would make that mistake of thinking the earth was the center of everything because humans are tiny compared to the earth. Nobody could conceive the earth spinning because nobody could get off the planet to see that it wasn’t flat.

But today we have put satellites in space that have unedited pictures of earth. We have taken pictures of earth from the moon. We have taken a picture of earth through the rings of Saturn.

If one could travel to another planet in another galaxy, because humans are so tiny, when you landed on that planet’s surface it also would seem flat. And that planet if it spun on an axis like earth, that would also give the person there a false illusion of that planet being the center of the universe.

According to real Big Bang science and “relativity” every celestial body is the center of the universe if you could be on it. This has been proven mathematically and through astrophysics and the Cosmic Microwave Background radiation. It really is a a simple matter of failing to consider the POINT OF VIEW from another celestial body.

Nobody for example, if at the top of a mountain, or sky scraper thinks the 18 wheeler below them on the road is an inch long. Because they know they are simply further away. If the 18 wheeler stops below you and you go down and stand next to it, it is not an inch long.

The same thing can be said about your size as a human standing on earth which is a globe of 24,901 miles in circumference. The tallest human Robert Waldo, 1918-1940 was 8 feet 11 inches tall. That isn’t even close to being a mile long, much less being tall enough to see the curvature of the earth.

So of course one is going to falsely think the earth is flat if they don’t understand science. I find it funny that people can see that the moon is a globe but think the earth is flat.
