May I See Your I.D.?

May I See Your I.D. ? By Brian37 (AKA Brian James Rational Poet on FB/META and @Brianrrs37 on Twitter/X)

Sorry sunny, you think it’s funny
Trying to get past the bouncer
Speeding at 448,000 miles per hour

You aren’t old enough
To have that whisky sour
The age is 21 you know

You still have one orbit to go
Around Sagittarius A Star
You can’t have a seat at the bar

You have 8 kids to care for
And a little dog too
So no drinks for you

So put on your Kuiper belt
And deal with the card’s your delt
In a galactic year you can have that belt

In 230million years
You can have a few beers
Your friends will send you cheers

And remember, call a cab.
(end)

Silly poem about real scientific facts. Our solar system is orbiting the galaxy at a speed of 448,000 miles per hour. As fast as that is it still takes 230million years to go around the center of the galaxy and our super massive black hole named Sagittarius A Star. And our sun/solar system since our sun was born, has only done that 20 times.

So if you spoke of the sun in earth/human years, it would not be old enough to drink in America because the age is 21.
