Interstellar

Interstellar, By Brian37 (AKA Brian James Rational Poet on FB/META and @Brianrrs37 on Twitter/X)

I want to live in between galaxies
Where I can avoid human fallacies
Where I am not affected
By their violent fantasies

Where I am not accused of heresy
They will kill me over their mythology
World domination oppressive ideology
The goat herder’s king lives in the sky

Those who blaspheme are certain to die
I want to live between galaxies
Where I can avoid human frailties
The sociopaths lost their faculties

They base their lives on absurdities
Doomed to repeat barbaric atrocities
I want to live between galaxies
Where I can avoid the human cacophony

Of bluster and fervor and bloodshed and hate
Where all claim entitlement and death is their fate
They froth at the glee for doomsday awaits
They slaughter and murder to get to a fictional gate

I want to live in interstellar space
No noise, no violence, silence my solace
Unfortunately no such oasis exists
I live in a world where ignorance persists.
(end)

This poem is aimed at all the world’s major religions, but more specifically right now at this point in history, the big Abrahamic three. I wish I could get off this planet and get away from bullshit human tribalism.
