Fragile Ego, By Brian37 (AKA Brian James Rational Poet on FB/META and @Brianrrs37 on Twitter/X)
You step in front of him after claiming
He is “all powerful” to protect him
But what is it really you are protecting?
This omnipotent defensive linebacker
Could sack me with a body slam so hard
I’d break through earth’s crust
And melt in the molten mantel
Funny how his hurricanes and tornados
Have failed to kill this loathsome atheist
And what a carpet bomber he is in his attempts
Lighting strikes church in flames, floods kill his followers
Tornado’s flatten their houses, and here I am, still here
Listening to you threaten me on his behalf
Seems odd that he would need a bodyguard
A marketing department, a public relations firm
Does it make you squirm, my pointing out inconsistencies?
These absurdities? It isn’t that he exists that you do this
It is the fear of being wrong, the fear of being finite
The fear that you’ve wasted your time on a myth
If you have the “faith” you say you do
Then there is nothing I can do to hurt him
So by logical consistency there is no need for you to be
In the middle of a beef you are not involved in.
Please don’t falsely claim now that I am oppressing you
My blasphemy is aimed at bad logic to prove
To me it is tragic this being so fragile and pathetic
As to use threats, like an abusive spouse, a stalker
Incapable of calm reason and explanation
It seems to me you’ve made no examination
Have no introspection, no contemplation
Of the flaws in your argumentation
Appeal to authority blindly, and how convenient
Your God just happens to hate the same people
You do.
